ECU at Memphis next week. If Memphis can pull off the upset, UCF will be in the drivers seat for C-USA East with a shot at the Liberty Bowl. Not bad for a team that was 4-7 last year. Big win over Southern Miss tonight on the road for the knights. Tulsa last week, USM this week -- its amazing the things that can happen when you don't turn the ball over 5+ times.Funny thing though, I believe the Papa John's Bowl is a Big East team vs. C-USA's #4 (off the top of my head). If UCF drops another game, and USF drops another game, we could be looking at a bowl matchup. I know, I know.. That'd be nuts after USF manhandled UCF for four quarters. The thing is, the Big East only has three bowl tie-ins. USF and the bowl committee might not have a ton of wiggle room. Of course, that means UCF is C-USA #4, and well, that would suck. Soo..
UF lost to UGA. Gotta love them dawgs.
Ohio State finally looked like a #1 team on the road against Penn State. Maybe, just maybe, we'll get some stability.
How about Matt Ryan? That's what I call a Heisman performance.
Arizona State over Cal, but it's Oregon who's looking like they're for real. Great match up ahead of us next week.
Man.. Best year of football ever.

Comments...
(Page 1)1. I'm a rabid UConn Husky fan (for basketball), but never thought they'd be ranked 5 years after their entry into division 1-A football. Cannot believe they beat USF - still have Rutgers (home) and W. Va (away) that could be tricky.

2. UConn's having a heck of a year.
I've watched every televised USF game, and I have to say (as objectively as a UCF fan can be), that I wasn't shocked in the least with the Huskie's win. USF is a team that has struggled more often than not. Inconsistency has been their achiles heel. Grothe as a junior though, will be nasty.
Not to be a hater, but I expect Rutgers and WVa. both to be losses for UConn. That still leaves them with what, 3 losses? Great, great year for the huskies.

3. Love them Dawgs? Such a terrible thing to say. All hope for the Gators is gone now ... wonder where we'll end up this year. The Outback Bowl might be fun.
As for the rest of the teams, I'm not sure what matchup would make the most interesting championship game. Maybe LSU-Oregon? Ohio State would be great if there were a four team playoff. Boston College vs. Arizona State would be fun for the TV execs to sell.

4. What I wouldn't give to see a 4 team, or even better, an 8 team playoff. A team like LSU deserves a shot, as does Oklahoma. BC vs. Arizona State? I don't know.. A fun game, but it'd be hard to convince everyone those were truly the two best teams in the country.
As far as where UF ends up.. there is a scenario I think that would set up a USF/UF bowl. That might be the only time I'd ever root for UF ;)
